In late September, the Cineasta Digital crew went back to Stanford University to produce a feature on Women’s Soccer standout, Andi Sullivan. Producer, Chris Hunt told an outstanding story of overcoming injury and adversity in a young career that is certainly going places. The feature focuses on Andi’s remarkable comeback after an ACL tear in the NCAA Tournament last year, nearly ending her budding career. Andi has a real shot a becoming a member of Team USA for Women’s Soccer and it’s was a real honor to tell her story.
The camera of choice to shoot this feature with the Sony FS7 as the primary camera, with a variety of Rokinon Cine Prime Lenses as the glass. A Ninja Dolly with 6 ft track was used to capture some of the practice sequences. The Interviews took place in the brand new Stanford Sports Hall of Fame. This state of the art facility is dedicated to the men and women who have competed in a Cardinal uniform and all the success this program has had since its inception.
It was a busy day for our crew, as we not only shot this piece but another future sports feature as well on Stanford Volleyball…but more on that later… For now, enjoy this feature on Stanford Cardinal & future USA Womens Soccer star, Andi Sullivan!
